New ambulances, fire engines, medical training and medical supplies were provided as part of the UK’s ongoing partnership with Ukraine.

Britain sends 22 ambulances and 40 equipped fire engines to Ukraine. This was announced on April 26 by the press service of the United Kingdom government.

It was noted that the delivery of new ambulances is expected in the coming days and is a direct response to the request of Kyiv.

Two more convoys of 40 fire engines carrying thousands of pieces of rescue equipment, including 300 fire hoses and nearly 10,000 pieces of protective clothing, have already arrived in Ukraine and are “providing vital support to firefighters on the front lines.”

“We are all shocked by the pictures of hospitals Russia has targeted since the aggression began more than two months ago. The deliveries of new ambulances, fire engines and funding for health experts announced today will help the Ukrainian people better provide life-saving medical services and save lives. ” said British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The charitable organization UK-Med will receive £ 300,000 from the British Foreign Office for training programs for Ukrainian doctors, as well as for mobile first-aid posts. London will also provide medicines and medical supplies worth £ 300,000.

The total amount of humanitarian aid for Ukraine provided by Britain is approximately 400 million pounds already.

Earlier, South Korean authorities sent about 20 tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, which included automatic defibrillators, ventilators and first aid kits.
