The EU provided energy equipment to Ukraine

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said the European Union is transferring 200 medium-sized transformers, a large autotransformer, and 40 power generators to Ukraine. He said this after a telephone conversation with Volodymyr Zelensky, writes European Truth.

According to the head of the EC, the European Commission has intensified its efforts and is working with partners to provide emergency support to Ukraine, which is necessary to restore and maintain the supply of electricity and heat.

It was noted that through the EU Emergency Response Coordination Center, the European Commission is preparing the earliest possible delivery to Ukraine of the following large donations from Member States and directly from the Commission’s reserve: 200 medium-sized transformers and a large autotransformer from Lithuania, a medium-sized autotransformer from Latvia, 40 heavy generators from reserves located in Romania.

Each of the supplied generators can provide uninterrupted power to a small and medium-sized hospital.

In addition, the European Commission is further working on the creation of a new energy hub in Poland, which will allow receiving donations from third parties and assist in their coordinated delivery to Ukraine, especially with partners from in the G7.

“We have also contacted relevant companies in different countries to provide essential high-voltage equipment, including additional autotransformers, and are contacting partners to deliver them quickly to Ukraine, ” said Ursula von der Leyen.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on his Twitter too published brief results of the telephone conversation with the head of the EC.

Recall that Korea will transfer 20 powerful generators to Ukraine, and France will transfer 100 generators.

It was also reported that they plan to deliver 100 electric generators from Germany to Ukraine.

In addition, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is providing Ukraine with 80 generators.
