In Kherson, on a pedestal left over from a monument to Ushakov stolen by the Russians, an image of Valery Zaluzhny, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, appeared.
Ushakov Fedor Fedorovich – Russian naval commander, admiral, saint of the Russian Orthodox Church. Earlier, the invaders in Kherson carried out de-Russification. The Russian occupation authorities removed from the city a monument to the prince, who is considered the founder of Kherson.
Earlier, a monument to Admiral Ushakov and a bust to the bloody commander Alexander Suvorov disappeared in the city. The occupiers explained this by the threat of their damage as a result of shelling.
Minister of Culture of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko thanked the invaders for supporting the de-Russification process.
Recall that in Kherson, liberated from the occupiers, problems with electricity, water supply and communications, the city suffers from Russian shelling and mines that the occupiers left behind. At the same time, banks and supermarkets began to open, and railway communication was restored.
