The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published a summary of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine on Wednesday evening, November 23.
“During the day, the Russian invaders dealt a massive blow to the energy infrastructure of our state. According to preliminary information, up to 65 X-101 cruise missiles were used, 51 of which were shot down by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Buildings of residence and thermal power plants, thermal power plants and electrical substations in Kyiv were hit , Kyiv, Vinnitsa, Lviv and Zaporozhye regions. In the direction of Seversk, the enemy opened fire from multiple rocket-launching systems in the Kustino settlement area, Sumy region.
In the Slobozhansky direction on the borders of the Belgorod region, the enemy continues to hold units of his troops for demonstration operations. From time to time, it fires at the positions of our troops, as well as settlements in the Kharkiv region near the border with the state of Ukraine.
The enemy is on the defensive in the direction of Kupyansk and Limansk. It fired from tanks, mortars and cannon artillery, in particular, in the areas of the settlements of Kislovka, Krakhmalnoye and Berestovoe in the Kharkiv region and Makeevka and Belogorovka in the Luhansk region.
In the direction of Bakhmut and Avdeevsky, the enemy is concentrating his main efforts on conducting offensive operations. He fired from tanks, mortars, cannons and rocket artillery at objects in the areas of the settlements of Bakhmutskoye, Bakhmut, Kleshchievka, Zelenopolye, Avdeevka, Vodianoe, Pervomayskoye and Nevelskoye.
In the directions of Novopavlovsk and Zaporozhye, the enemy is on the defensive. Areas of approximately 10 settlements were affected by enemy artillery fire.
In the direction of Krivoy Rog and Kherson, the invaders are conducting a positional defense. Cannon and rocket artillery were used to shell the settlements of Maryevka in the Dnepropetrovsk region and Kherson, Tokarevka, Antonovka and Dneprovskoye in the Kherson region.
“The enemy continues to suffer losses. Thus, more than 30 seriously wounded soldiers from the northwestern outskirts of the city have been delivered to hospitals in the city of Gorlovka in recent days,” the report said.
In the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region, the occupiers continued the forced resettlement of Ukrainians: under the guise of counter-sabotage actions, about 20 local farmers were removed from the settlements of Denezhnikovo and Shtormovoe in Luhansk region last week.
The defeat of the enemy’s manpower and military equipment defense forces in recent days has been confirmed. In the Luhansk region, an ammunition depot was hit, about 50 attackers were destroyed and up to 50 were wounded. In the Zaporozhye region, enemy losses amounted to 15 people killed and up to 20 wounded.
“Our aviation delivered four strikes today: three – on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the enemy, and one – on the position of the anti-aircraft missile system. and the position of the air system of the defense of the invaders,” the General Staff reported.
