The head of the IAEA spoke with the director of Rosatom security around the ZNPP

IAEA Head Rafael Grossi spoke with Rosatom Director General Alexei Likhachev.

A meeting between Grossi and the director of Rosatom took place in Istanbul. The main topic of the talks was the creation of a nuclear safety zone around the Zaporizhzhya NPP, according to an official IAEA message on Twitter.

“IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi met today in Istanbul with a Russian delegation led by Rosatom Director General Alexei Likhachev for consultations on operational aspects related to safety at the Zaporizhia NPP in Ukraine and the immediate establishing a nuclear safety and protection zone.

It should be noted that, ignoring the instructions of the IAEA on the security situation at ZNPP, the Russian invaders did not stop shelling the station – on Sunday, November 20, more than 12 hits were recorded.
