Explosions rocked a bus station in the Ramot district of the Israeli capital Jerusalem on Wednesday, November 23. People were injured as a result of the incident. This was reported by the local edition newsru.co.il.
According to preliminary information, an explosive device left in the bag went off.
At the moment, the exact number of victims is unknown. A number of media write about 7 injured, of which two are in serious condition, other publications report that there are 12 injured (two of them are in critical condition). The injured were taken to hospitals.
The media, citing the police press service, said that at least 14 people were injured as a result of the two explosions, 11 of them as a result of the first explosion.
The explosion was first reported at 7:06 a.m. at the bus stop on Shaarei Yerushalayim Street.
Half an hour after the first explosion, another explosion rang out at the Ramot intersection in Jerusalem.
As a result of the first explosion, at least ten people were injured. Two of them are in critical condition.
Police cordoned off bus stations and bus stops and searched for explosives.
