Participants in the procession chanted anti-Russian slogans: “enemy of Russia!”, “Enemy of CSTO!”, as well as pro-Ukrainian slogans.
On Tuesday, November 22, protests began in Yerevan against the visit of Kremlin leaders Vladimir Putin, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the head of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who were supposed to take part in the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) summit on Wednesday, reports Radio Azatutyun.
Participants in the procession chanted anti-Russian slogans: “enemy of Russia!”, “Enemy of CSTO!”, meaning that after the bloody border clashes in September of this year, this military bloc did not give any support to its member – Armenia.
Also in the video from the scene you can see yellow-blue flags and hear pro-Ukrainian slogans.
Members of the opposition party said that the visit of the leaders of unfriendly and even “hostile to Armenia” CSTO member countries, especially President Putin, should receive a well-deserved opposition. Tomorrow they, as well as representatives of civil society, intend to hold protests again.
This is Putin’s first visit to Armenia since the 44-day war in autumn 2020.

It was previously reported that the summit of the heads of the CSTO member states will be held in the capital of Armenia on Wednesday, November 23, under the leadership of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
Recall that in September, rallies were held in Armenia demanding to leave the CSTO.
Experts say that the CSTO, which provides for the military protection of any member, has shown itself to be a dead organization that actually no longer exists. More on this in the Incapacitated Russia material.
