The Moldova Support Platform was created this spring at the initiative of Romania, Germany and France.

Europe intends to help Moldova deal with the many consequences that have arisen due to the war in Ukraine. About this on Monday, November 21, Deutschlandfunk wrote.

In particular, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock promised to allocate 32.3 million euros to Moldova for the development of renewable energy sources, improvement of municipal infrastructure, and also to help Ukrainian refugees.

In addition, French President Emmanuel Macron announced a new aid package for Moldova worth more than 100 million euros.

They made statements about the upcoming financial support at the third international donor conference for Moldova, held in Paris.

The Moldova Support Platform was created this spring at the initiative of Romania, Germany and France. The platform includes a total of 47 states and organizations, including EU states, the USA, Canada and the UK. The European Union and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe are also represented.

At the two previous conferences, donors provided aid and loans to Moldova totaling 1.2 billion euros.

It will be recalled that the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, congratulated the residents of Kherson on their liberation from Russian occupation.

Earlier, Maia Sandu accused Russian special services of trying to undermine the situation inside the country.

There were also reports of pro-Russian rallies in Chisinau. Their participants chanted “Down with Maia Sandu” and other slogans demanding early elections.
