The Kremlin spokesman again announced the new goal of aggressive war against Ukraine.
Russia’s so-called “special military operation” is not aimed at changing the current government in Ukraine. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, TASS reports on Monday, November 21.
“No, the president (Putin – ed.) has already spoken about it,” said Peskov, answering the journalists’ question whether the change of power in Ukraine was one of the goals of the “special operation.”
So he commented on the words of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that Russia is not looking for negotiations with Kyiv, but wants to achieve a short-term lull in the conflict.
“Russia wants to achieve its goals, and it will achieve them,” the Kremlin spokesman added.
Recall that during the war between Russia and Ukraine, the statements of Russian officials about the goals of the Kremlin changed several times.
At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine can have only one “true guarantor” of statehood and sovereignty – Russia itself.
