Musk Polling to Unblock Trump’s Twitter Account

The majority of survey participants (57.3%) are in favor of unlocking. Another 42.7% voted “against”.

Twitter owner Elon Musk announced a poll among users of the social network on whether to unblock former US President Donald Trump’s account. He asked users about it on Saturday, November 19 Twitter.

Musk explained the poll with the famous Latin expression “Voice of the people, voice of God” (Vox Populi, Vox Dei).

The survey will last one day. At the time of publication, the majority of survey participants (57.3%) were in favor of unlocking. Another 42.7% voted “against”.

Note that Trump was banned from Twitter after the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, when Trump lost the election to Joe Biden. In particular, Twitter management fears that Trump’s tweets could lead to more violence.

Musk said blocking the former president was wrong, and he was ready to restore his account. However, Trump said in April that he would not return to the platform even if Musk lifted the lockdown.
