British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak inspected the destroyed equipment of the Russian aggressors during his visit to Kyiv. This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Facebook on Saturday, November 19.
“Together with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, we visited an exhibition of destroyed military equipment of the Russian occupiers in Mikhailovskaya Square. We will defend Ukraine and our freedom. And the occupiers understand this. The this exhibition is proof of that!” wrote.
Zelensky and Sunak also paid tribute to the memory of Ukrainian defenders, the Office of the President reported.
Leaders laid flowers at the Wall of Remembrance of those who died for Ukraine near St. Michael’s Golden-domed Monastery and honored the memory of Ukrainian soldiers with a minute of silence.
The Prime Minister of Great Britain also erected a lamp in memory of the victims of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Mikhailovskaya Square.
Remember, on November 19, Rishi Sunak arrived in Kyiv on an unexpected visit. He promised Ukraine £50m worth of air defense systems and other aid.
In this regard, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the British prime minister showed full understanding of the needs and readiness to help Ukraine.
