Law enforcement officers exposed an illegal tobacco factory in the Volyn region. The production capacity is allowed to produce up to 20,000 packs of cigarettes per day, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General on Friday, November 18.
It is indicated that the business worked in one of the remote villages. A professional raw material preparation line was installed in the factory and high-tech equipment was used.
The area is surrounded by a high fence. A modern alarm and video surveillance system is installed there. The perimeter was patrolled by heavy security – all this ensured complete secrecy of the matter.
During the searches, a line for the production of tobacco products, a line for their packaging, more than 59 thousand packages of finished products, more than 5.5 tons of tobacco, paper, filters and parts were seized. The total value of the seizure is approximately 20 million hryvnias.
