Even before the mass invasion began, representatives of the Opposition Platform for Life actively promoted the “Russian world”, visited Moscow and met with representatives of the Russian authorities.
On Friday morning, November 18, the petition to remove the mandates of representatives from the Opposition Platform for Life collected more than 26,000 signatures out of the 25,000 required, so the president should consider this proposal and give official that response.
The author of the petition, People’s Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko, called on the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to apply to the Verkhovna Rada with a request to consider a resolution on the removal of all MPs from on the Opposition Platform – For Life in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The People’s Deputy recalled that even before the mass raids began, representatives of the Opposition Platform for Life actively promoted the “Russian world”, repeatedly visited Moscow and met with representatives of the Russian authorities.
“After the Russian offensive, the representatives of the Opposition Platform for Life fled abroad or did not show themselves in any way to help Ukraine. On the contrary, among them were the main collaborators and traitors. Among those the most prominent figures are Putin’s godfather Viktor Medvedchuk, his friend Taras Kozak and Ilya Kiva,” the appeal noted.
In addition, at least nine people’s deputies from the Opposition Platform for Life have not attended a meeting in the Verkhovna Rada since the start of a full-scale raid. These are Oleg Voloshin, Yuri Solod, Taras Kozak, Natalya Korolevskaya, Renat Kuzmin, Vadim Stolar, Fedor Khristenko, Andrey Derkach, Viktor Medvedchuk. Many have left the country.
Let’s recall that a few days ago the court finally banned the activities of the Opposition Platform for Life. The SBU states that the decision to ban HLE is final and not subject to appeal, and the prosecution of party members who have harmed Ukraine’s interests is ongoing.
