Temporary heating points for citizens are set up in the regional center, but they may not be enough.
The head of Ivano-Frankivsk, Ruslan Martsinkiv, called on residents of multi-storey residential buildings to leave the city for the winter due to the worsening situation with energy supply. On Thursday, November 17, Radio West Pole reported.
Martsinkiv clarified that due to the Russian attack, 53 high-rise buildings in Ivano-Frankivsk were left without heating and stressed that the situation could worsen when houses are without electricity for several days.
“I recommend finding a place to stay in the countryside or in private houses. Maybe there are family members, acquaintances in the villages. Advisable to agree on accommodation, it will be very hard to survive in apartment buildings,” warned the mayor. .
He also urged residents of nearby villages to shelter women and children from high-rise buildings in the city.
Martsinkiv added that the city is preparing heating points for city residents, but they may not accommodate everyone.
It should be noted that more than 10 million Ukrainians are currently without electricity in Ukraine due to damage to the power grid after the Russian missile attack.
