The Ukrainian parliament demands to exclude the Russian Federation from the G20.
On Wednesday, November 16, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted resolution No. 8203 – an appeal to the G20 states to exclude the aggressor country from this group. The press service of the Verkhovna Rada reported this on Telegram.
People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak in his Telegram channel said that this appeal was supported by 310 people’s deputies. The Council argued its demand by the fact that Russia purposefully destroys the population of Ukraine, which has all the signs of genocide.
First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Korniyenko noted on Facebook that by this resolution, the Parliament strongly urges Russia to stop the crime of aggression against Ukraine by withdrawing all troops from the territory of our state and respect our integrity within its internationally recognized borders.
The deputies propose to the G20 to condemn the terrorist actions of Russia aimed at the destruction of the Ukrainian state, the genocide of Ukrainians, the destabilization of the energy system and food security of the states of the world.
The Council demands to increase sanctions pressure on the aggressor and restore the international legal order. It is also proposed to significantly increase the economic, financial and security of assistance to Ukraine and support the aspirations of Ukraine, Turkey and the UN to continue the grain initiative.
Recall that on November 15, a two-day G20 summit began in Indonesia. During the summit, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine, firing 96 cruise missiles. Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that he expects the reaction of the G20 summit participants after this aggression.
