Ukraine intends to participate in the investigation of the incident and there is evidence of a “Russian trace”, the head of the National Security and Defense Council emphasized.
Ukraine stands for further study of the incident in Poland together with partners and is ready to provide evidence of the “Russian trace”. This was stated in a statement by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov, published on November 16.
“We are ready to provide our partners with the evidence we have of Russian traces. We also expect information from our partners, based on which a final conclusion is made that it is a Ukrainian air defense missile,” the head of the National Security and Defense Council emphasized.
He also called for immediate access to the site of the explosion to representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the State Border Service of Ukraine.
“We remain fully open to a comprehensive study of the situation and agree with the conclusions based on the entire range of available data. Only Russia and its missile terror are to blame for what happened,” said Danilov.
According to him, the region of Central Europe can be protected from Russian missiles “only by creating an effective air shield” on the territory of Ukraine.
To recall, on November 15, two unidentified missiles produced by the Russian Federation fell near the village of Przevodov, Lublin Voivodeship, on the border with Ukraine. They hit the grain dryers and led to the death of two people.
As the Polish leader Andrzej Duda said, the fall of missiles on Polish territory during Russia’s massive attack on Ukraine was not connected to a deliberate attack.
According to preliminary data from NATO, the incident was related to the work of the Ukrainian air defense, which repelled the attack of the Russian Federation.
