The German Chancellor mentioned that Iran provides Russia with drones that are used to attack Ukraine and kill civilians.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said the European Union will tighten sanctions against Iran next week. He said this to Twitter.
“The European Union has already introduced several packages of sanctions. Additional sanctions will be added next week. We want to continue to increase the pressure on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the political leadership,” said Scholz.
The German Chancellor also mentioned that Iran provides Russia with drones that are used to attack Ukraine and kill civilians.
“We must pay attention and act when human rights are violated. We witness the courageous struggle of Iranians for freedom and justice and brutal violence against them. Sanctions are one of the ways we increase pressure on the regime,” he stressed.
Scholz named three priority areas of assistance to Ukraine
Earlier it was reported that Putin discussed “increasing cooperation” with the Iranian President. The parties, in particular, discussed “interactions in the field of politics, trade and economy, including the transport and logistics sector.”
