Russian authorities say the “special operation” is ongoing, and the Kherson region remains a Russian region.
The Kremlin has ruled on changes in the status of the occupied Kherson region in connection with the withdrawal of Russian troops from the left bank of the Dnieper. This was said at a briefing on November 11 by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, Interfax reports.

“This is a subject of the Russian Federation, this status is legally defined and fixed. There is not and cannot be any changes to it,” he stressed.
At the same time, Peskov refused to comment on the decision of the Russian command about the “maneuver” of troops from Kherson, noting that the situation “is not embarrassing for the head of state.”
“We don’t want to comment … the special military operation is ongoing,” Vladimir Putin’s spokesman said.
It will be recalled that on November 9, the Minister of Defense of Russia, Sergei Shoigu, ordered the withdrawal of troops from the right bank of the occupied Kherson region “to save the military life and the fighting ability of the group of troops.”
