Traffic on the Crimean bridge is blocked

In early October, a truck exploded on the Krymsky Bridge, destroying two spans of the roadway.

Car traffic is suspended on the Crimean bridge. It is impossible to drive with it by car from 4.00 to 16.00 on November 12 due to technological work. This was reported on Friday, November 11, at the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory.

“Due to this, the movement of vehicles on the road will be temporarily restricted,” the statement said.

It is known that the repair is connected with the elimination of the consequences of the explosion on the bridge. Note that the explosion on the Crimean bridge took place on the morning of October 8. A fuel tank caught fire on the railroad tracks. Part of the road was damaged. Russian authorities expect the bridge to be fully restored by July 1, 2023.

Until July 1 next year, the Russian authorities hope to carry out work to restore the relevant infrastructure.

The rail portion of the bridge also needs to be repaired, two spans need to be replaced there. All work is expected to be completed by September 2023.

Note that British intelligence doubts that the Crimean bridge will be fully operational before September 2023.
