“In response to the ever-increasing personal sanctions imposed by the Joe Biden administration not only against Russian officials, businessmen, cultural figures, but also against people who, for one reason or another, is not desirable to Washington, on the basis of reciprocity, a ban on entry into the Russian Federation was introduced against 200 US citizens,” the statement said.
In particular, Russia included the sister and two brothers of the American leader Joe Biden – Valerie Biden Owens, James Biden, Francis Biden, as well as the press secretary of the White House, Karine Jean-Pierre, in the “stop list”.
The list also includes representatives of US authorities and lawmakers, as well as their close relatives, heads of companies and military-industrial complex businesses, experts and lobbyists.
Moscow claims that all these people are “involved in promoting the Russophobic campaign and supporting the regime in Kyiv.”
In total, there are 1,073 Americans on Russia’s stop list.
Earlier, Russia included offshore zones in the list of “unfriendly countries”. This includes 11 overseas territories of Great Britain, which were previously supported by sanctions against the aggressor country.
