EU finance ministers, meeting in Brussels on Tuesday, agreed to continue financial assistance to Ukraine in 2023 in the amount of 18 billion euros to guarantee the functioning of the Ukrainian state. This support will take the form of “Long-term loans with favorable financial conditions with interest payments” in order to “meet the urgent needs of Kyiv” explained Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice President of the European Commission.
Thus, the Twenty-Seven are in principle positive to the proposal that the Commission should formulate this Wednesday. This is great first for the community bloc, which paves the way for funding, then for the restructuring non-member state and its EU membership programme.
