Ukraine and Romania are restoring railway communication in the section Rakhiv – Delovoye – Valya – Visheuluy. The first test run in this direction has already taken place, reports the Ministry of Infrastructure on Wednesday, November 9.

It is indicated that the opening of the railway passenger service on the border between Ukraine and Romania is expected in early December. A comfortable regional train DPKR-3 built in Ukraine will run on the route.

Travel time from Rakhiv to the Romanian city of Vali-Visheului is approximately 40 minutes, not including customs procedures. Border and customs control will be conducted on board the train upon landing.

Ukrzaliznytsia plans to operate two flights a day with the possibility of transferring passengers to Romanian CFR railway trains. From Vali Visheului, trains run daily to Sziget, Cluj and Bucharest stations.
