Iran hosted a presentation of the modernized anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) Bavar-373 (Bavar-373), which can hit air targets at a distance of more than 300 kilometers. This was reported by the IRNA agency yesterday.
The head of the military department, Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani, personally attended the ceremony in Tehran.
As part of the ceremony, the production line of the Sayad-B4 missile, equipped with the Bavar-373 air defense system, was also opened.
During tests of the Bavar-373 air defense system, a stationary target was detected at a distance of more than 450 km and hit at a distance of more than 300 km.
The Sayad-B4 long-range missile uses solid propellant and was tested in combat for the first time.
The target detection range of the Bavar-373 air defense system has increased from 350 to 450 kilometers. The missile range and the combat height of the Sayyad-B4 missile increased from 200 to 300 kilometers and from 27 to 32 kilometers.
