The Iranian regime is responsible for helping the Russian army in the war against Ukraine, the Ukrainian leader assured.
President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed Iran’s claim that a “small number” of Iranian drones were delivered to Russia in the months leading up to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine as a lie. On Saturday, November 5, writes the press service of the head of state.
“Today there are reports from Iran, from official representatives. They decided to admit that they supply drones for terror in Russia. But in this admission they lied.
We shoot down at least 10 Iranian drones every day, and the Iranian regime says they have given up a little before a full-scale attack begins. Just yesterday 11 “Shaheds” were destroyed. We know for sure that Iranian instructors have taught Russian terrorists how to use drones, while in Tehran they are generally silent about it,” he said.
At the same time, the president emphasized that if Iran continues to “lie about the obvious,” then the world will make more efforts to investigate the terrorist cooperation between the Russian and Iranian regimes and “if how is Russia paying Iran for such cooperation.”
“There is no such thing in the modern world for any of the terrorists or their accomplices to go unpunished,” Zelensky stressed.
It will be recalled that Iran has admitted that it has indeed supplied drones to Russia, but according to Iranian officials, this was done before the start of a full-scale war by the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
