The Netherlands has promised to modernize and repair 45 Czech T-72 tanks for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of 120 million euros. This includes tanks and other weapons, according to the agency’s website on Friday, November 4.
“The Netherlands is once again supplying Ukraine with heavy military equipment. The total value of the package is 120 million euros, of which 45 million euros are for T-72 tanks,” the statement said.
It is expected that the first batch of tanks will be delivered to Ukraine next month. We are talking about 90 units of Czech armored vehicles, which will be arranged by the Netherlands and the United States. Each country committed itself to the modernization and repair of 45 tanks.
Earlier on Friday, the United States announced the provision of $400 million in military aid to Ukraine. This package also includes T-72 tanks and other equipment.
Also today it became known that Italy is preparing the sixth package of military aid to Ukraine.
