According to Ukrainian and international law, if citizens of a foreign state cross the border illegally, they must be forcibly deported.
During the eight years of occupation, about 800,000 Russians immigrated illegally to the Crimean peninsula. Tamila Tasheva, permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, said this in a commentary to the Daily Mail.
“According to Ukrainian and international law, if citizens of a foreign state illegally cross the border, they must be forcibly expelled. Therefore, if they are illegal, they must return to Russia, leave Ukrainian Crimea after de-occupation. these people can request from the Ukrainian state the right to stay/accommodation,” said Tasheva.
It will be remembered that the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that an acceptable end to the war launched by the Russian Federation against Ukraine is the withdrawal of Russian troops from all Ukrainian territories, including Crimea.
