The President thanked the United States for its support. After their visit to Ukraine, the senators will go to the Criminal Court in The Hague.
On Thursday, November 3, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting in Kyiv with US Senators Christopher Koons and Rob Portman. The head of state announced this on Facebook.
He emphasized that he greatly appreciates the visit of the senators, especially now, when the Russian Federation is imposing dozens of missile strikes on Ukraine and using Iranian kamikaze drones on energy facilities.
The President also mentioned US support for Ukrainian territorial integrity – both at the level of the two parties and at the level of society.
In addition, Zelensky thanked US President Joe Biden, the White House and his team for their strong support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
After the visit to Ukraine, the senators said they will go to the Criminal Court in The Hague, where they will work with a wider group of senators to support the prosecution of the Russians for war crimes against Ukraine.
Recall that the United States allocated $47.6 million for the training of sappers in Ukraine.
It was also reported that the United States will transfer eight NASAMS systems to Ukraine.
