António Guterres will hold a meeting with the Ukrainian leader two days after talks with the Russian president.
UN Secretary -General Antonio Guterres will visit Ukraine on April 28. This was announced on Friday, April 22, by the organization’s press service.
As indicated, Guterres is scheduled to hold talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba.
In addition, the Secretary General will hold a meeting with the staff of the international organization working in Ukraine to discuss the expansion of humanitarian assistance to the population of the country.
Recall that on April 22, the press secretary of Russian leader Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin would meet with António Guterres in Moscow on April 26.
Earlier, Guterres asked the presidents of Ukraine and the Russian Federation to receive him in Kyiv and Moscow. The purpose of the visits was to discuss urgent steps to establish peace in Ukraine.
