The Statistical Service of Russia marked the third quarter in a row that the real income of Russians fell.

The real incomes of the population of the Russian Federation continue to decrease. In particular, in the third quarter of 2022, their decline accelerated to 3.4% year-on-year. This was reported by the pro-government Russian news agency Interfax with reference to Rosstat data on Thursday, November 3.

The report says that in the second quarter, real incomes of Russians decreased by 0.8%, and in the first quarter – by 1.2%.

Overall, for January-September 2022, Rosstat estimates a decrease in real incomes of the population of the Russian Federation at 1.7% compared to the same period last year.

The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation predicts a decrease in the real income of the population of the Russian Federation by 2.2% in 2022.

As previously reported, Turkey received $28 billion of unknown origin between January and August 2022. Ankara assures that the main part of this money is unaccounted income from tourism. In particular, many Russian tourists have to pay in cash because of Russia’s disconnection from international payment systems.

It should be noted that Russia’s income from oil exports in September decreased by 17.3% or $3.2 billion compared to August.
