The leaders of Ukraine and Indonesia discussed preparations for the seventeenth meeting of the G20 heads of state, scheduled for November 15-16 in Bali.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke on the phone with the leader of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. The Ukrainian head of state announced this on Telegram on Thursday, November 3.
“We discussed with Indonesian President Joko Widodo the importance of continuing the grain initiative. Ukraine is ready to continue to be a guarantor of global food security,” Zelensky wrote.
The presidents also discussed preparations for the seventeenth meeting of the G20 heads of state, scheduled for November 15-16 this year on the island of Bali in Indonesia.
“A separate topic of our conversation is the preparation for the G20 summit,” Zelensky added.
It will be recalled that in October, the Indonesian Ambassador to the UAE Husin Bagis said that the presidents of Ukraine and Russia “agreed to attend the summit of the G20 countries.”
At the same time, the press secretary of the Ukrainian head of state, Sergei Nikiforov, said that the final decision on Zelensky’s trip to the G20 summit has not yet been made.
And according to the adviser of the Office of the President, Mikhail Podolyak, Zelensky may visit Indonesia to attend the G20 summit if Vladimir Putin takes part in it.
