Around Kyiv, the build-up of defense lines continues.
The improvement of the system of engineering equipment and the construction of fortifications continue. This was announced today, November 2, in the Telegram channel of the Command of the Ground Forces.
It is noted that additional measures to strengthen the defense of the capital are taken on the basis of an analysis of the defense of Kyiv in February-April this year:
- first of all, the equipment of firing positions and shelters for personnel is carried out;
- the fortification equipment of defense lines is also being built up by establishing long-term firing structures of various types;
- explosive and non-explosive engineering barriers are being installed in front of the positions of Ukrainian troops.
Thus, a system of multi-layered defense is being created by building up areas of lines and positions, the Command of the Ground Forces notes.
