Residents of seven regions in the central and northern regions of the country, as well as Kyiv, were warned about power outages.
On Wednesday, November 2, new hourly outage schedules will take effect from 6:00 am. The dispatching center of NPC Ukrenergo provided the distribution network operators (obenergos) with volumes to limit the supply of electricity in the GPO format for consumers in the central (Kyiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr regions) and northern (Sumy, Kharkiv and Poltava regions ) regions of the country. This was reported on the company’s Telegram channel.
Hourly outage schedules (HPOs) assume that certain groups of consumers are limited daily, but according to a schedule drawn up by distribution network operators for each area. Shutdown schedules in this format must be developed and made public in advance by regional energy authorities.
Demand restrictions are reportedly needed to reduce the load on the grids, ensure the power grid continues to be balanced and prevent repeated crashes after Russian rocket and drone attacks damage power grids.
Such measures allow power engineers to restore damaged power facilities as soon as possible, balance the system and provide power to all consumers.
The schedules can be found on the websites of the distribution companies (overenergos).
Recall that the previous day in Kyiv, out of schedule due to repairs, electricity was turned off in a significant part of the city. These are Obolon, Vinogradar, Minsk massif and Kurenevk.
