Explosions occurred at a military airfield in Russia’s Pskov region that damaged two Ka-52 Alligator reconnaissance and attack helicopters. On the morning of Monday, October 31, RosSMI reported, citing their sources.
It was noted that three explosions rumbled on the night of October 30 at a helipad in the Ostrovsky district near the Russian-Latvian border.
“About 22 pm, the servicemen of the unit heard several explosions, and then saw the scattered destruction of two helicopters. The explosion was so strong that fragments of the fuselage were scattered 200 meters around. The helicopters were unusable – they are under repair,” reports the Baza Telegram channel. .
The cause of the explosion was not named. Law enforcement officers are on the scene.
