About 90 American military aircraft and helicopters are deployed aboard the aircraft carrier USS Gerald Ford.
The American carrier strike group, led by the new nuclear aircraft carrier USS Gerald Ford, will arrive in Europe in mid-November. On Sunday, October 30, the UK Defense Journal reports.
About 90 aircraft and helicopters are reported to be based on the aircraft, including fifth-generation F-35C fighter-bombers.
The aircraft carriers will call at the Portsmouth naval base in the south of England, while the oversized Gerald Ford will remain at the outer roadstead at Spithead. The publication, citing the US Navy, writes that the strike group includes seven units in addition to Gerald Ford.
The group will participate in exercises with the armed forces of several NATO allies, including long-range naval strike, air defense, anti-submarine warfare and distributed maritime operations.
Now in European waters there is a strike group led by the American aircraft carrier USS George Bush. She participated in the NATO defense and deterrence exercise Neptune Strike in the Mediterranean, which took place from 14 to 28 October.
It can be recalled that the Turkish defense company Baykar is planning to complete the construction of its drone factory in Ukraine within two years.
