Power engineers compared the Ukrainian energy system to a living organism and noted that he is currently injured.
In Ukraine, saving electricity will be a challenge for citizens for the entire heating season. This was announced on Sunday, October 30, by Volodymyr Kudrytsky, Chairman of the Board of NPC Ukrenergo, on the air of an informative telethon.
“Our energy system, unfortunately, can be said to be wounded compared to a living organism. It needs more rest and less stress to restore damaged lines, major substations and damaged power plants, ” he said.
Kudritsky pointed out that in order to save, it is not necessary to deprive yourself of all the benefits of civilization, it is enough:
-
do not turn on the light in empty rooms;
-
use no more than one energy-intensive device at the same time;
-
use the iron, washing machine, dryer after 23.00 hours, when the load on the power system decreases.
According to him, the same applies to electric heating, warm floors in private houses.
At the same time, he suggested that Russia’s attack on energy facilities will continue through the winter.
“You need to be prepared: have a supply of water, charged power banks, mobile phones, bring batteries, flashlights to be more or less comfortable to spend a few hours without electricity,” added head of the board of Ukrenergo.
It was previously reported that from October 31 in all regions of Ukraine they plan to conduct planned power outages instead of emergencies.
