YouTube is said to be spreading fakes, publishing Russophobic content, calling for the overthrow of Russian power, and more.
Russian businessman and founder of PMC Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin, also known as “Putin’s chef”, asked the Prosecutor General to review the activities of YouTube and consider recognizing the American company Google LLC as “undesirable” in the Russian Federation.
According to Prigozhin, after Russia’s full-scale attack on Ukraine, a “full-scale information war” took place against the Russian Federation, where “disinformation and negative attitudes introduced with the help of YouTube” were not- allegedly actively used.
The statement says that YouTube allegedly distributes fakes, publishes Russophobic content, calls for the fall of power in Russia, and so on.
According to chef Putin, in Russia there are “worthy analogues of YouTube” – VK, Rutube, Odnoklassniki and Zen.
He also urged prosecutors to restrict access to YouTube.
“The anger of Russians about why Roskomnadzor has not yet blocked YouTube, where they are openly humiliated and insulted, continues to grow. People are worried that their children will see everything Russophobic contained in this. The times require more stringent measures, because the fines imposed did not stop these terrible violations,” Prigogine emphasized in a special address.
Recall that the leader of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and the owner of PMC Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, criticized the Russian military command for the defeat of the Russian Federation near Liman.
