At the SAHA Expo, a contract was signed between Turkish missile giant Roketsan and Baykar to integrate the Sungur anti-aircraft missile to combat drones.
“Sungur is a proven munition, especially against moving targets like helicopters and drones. Using it from our UAVs as an air-to-air missile will make a difference,” said Roketsan’s CEO that Murat Ikinci at the exhibition.
The integration of such missiles with Akıncı and Bayraktar TB2 combat drones could lead to the concept of low-cost air patrols to eliminate threats such as attack helicopters and enemy drones, including kamikaze drones, instead of using expensive air-to-air missiles.
“In any case, you have to be ready to take countermeasures … We fully support Ukraine in protecting its sovereignty,” Bayraktar said.
Recall that the intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine prevented the provocation of the Russian Federation against the CEO of the Turkish company Baykar Defense Haluk Bayraktar
