At least 50 people have suffered cardiac arrest as a result of a stampede while driving on a narrow street in the South Korean capital Seoul during a massive Halloween celebration. Doctors are trying to revive the victims, the exact number of dead is not yet known, according to the Associated Press.
It was reported that more than 400 rescuers were sent to the scene of the emergency. Some of the victims are undergoing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the spot, some have been sent to hospitals.
The agency reports, citing local media, that people moved towards one of the bars because of information that a celebrity went there, whose name was not released.
According to Yonhap News Agency, South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol will hold an emergency meeting regarding the incident.
Videos from the scene of the accident have surfaced online.
Recall that last year at a mass event in honor of the Lag B’Omer holiday in northern Israel, there was a stampede, whose victims were dozens of people.
