Vladimir Putin does not rule out the possibility of his presence at the G20 summit in Bali.
US President Joe Biden does not intend to meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit in Indonesia, which will be held in November on the resort island of Bali. This is what the coordinator of the US National Security Council for strategic communications, John Kirby, told CNN on Thursday, October 27.
According to him, Biden has no desire to spend time alone with Putin.
“The President has said he has no intention of sitting at the negotiating table with Vladimir Putin, and that’s the position now,” Kirby said.
According to him, the American president will focus on communication with allies and partners.
In this regard, Vladimir Putin did not exclude the possibility of his presence at the G20 summit in Bali. He said this in a speech at a meeting of the Valdai discussion club.
“I thank the leadership and President of Indonesia Joko Widodo for the invitation to the G20. We will think about how we will do it. Russia is fully represented there at a high level. I will probably go as I think,” Putin said.
Remember that the leaders of all participating countries, including Putin, are invited to the G20 summit. In addition, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was invited to the summit.
