Poland intends to continue to help Ukraine and its citizens in all available ways.
Marshal of the Sejm of Poland Elzbieta Witek said that in the event of a new wave of Ukrainians fleeing the war abroad, Poland will provide them with all kinds of support. He said this in an interview with Ukrinform.
“Poland sees this challenge and, as at the beginning of the war, helps everyone who needs help. We do not hide the fact that this is a huge burden on our budget, which is experiencing the economic consequences of the pandemic . However, in a situation where the lives and health of innocent people are under threat, we cannot respond in any way other than solidarity and support. Therefore, we will continue to help Ukraine and its citizens with everything available that way,” Vitek said.
According to him, “Russian attacks on the civilian population” is a factor that can increase the wave of migration, but Poland is considering it in the face of the approaching winter and energy embezzlement by the Kremlin.
Remember that Poland abolished the income tax for Ukrainian refugees.
It is also reported that Poland employs around 430,000 refugees from Ukraine.
