The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine denied the accusations of the Russian official and added: the Russian Federation accuses others of exactly what it is doing.
The misinformation that Ukraine will allegedly use a “dirty bomb” is a manifestation of the Kremlin’s tendency to blame the victim of the attack in advance for his own crime. This is what Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov said on Facebook on Sunday, October 23.
So he reacted to the words of the head of the Russian Defense Ministry, Sergei Shoigu, who announced Ukraine’s upcoming “provocations” with a “dirty bomb”.
According to him, filling in the information about the “dirty bomb” is an illustration of the proverb “the thief’s hat is on fire.”
The official recalled that Russia had long publicly threatened to use nuclear weapons. In addition, he deliberately provoked a disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.
Currently, Moscow is blackmailing the world with the disaster at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, and is also creating a threat to other nuclear facilities in Ukraine with rocket attacks.
Reznikov emphasized that the best response to the insinuations from the Russian Federation should be to increase pressure on the Kremlin’s terrorist regime and active assistance to Ukraine.
The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine noted that “it is impossible even in theory to think that Ukraine is capable of doing something that can cause long-term pollution of our land.” He also thanked the partners “who are sufficiently aware of this dangerous Russian talk.”
As we have already reported, the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, had phone conversations throughout the day not only with Reznikov, but also with Sergei Shoigu.
