The Polish government sees an important role for Poland in the process of disbursing European funds to Ukraine.
The Kremlin must understand that the West will have the means to support Ukraine. This is what Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki said.
“The Kremlin should know that just as the United States has declared another multibillion-dollar financial aid to Ukraine for next year, the European Union will also help, and this money will be enough for the functioning of the state of Ukrainian,” he said. .
Morawiecki emphasized that the government sees an important role for Poland in the process of paying European funds to Ukraine, as the European Commission is trying to provide funds to Kyiv. However, there must be agreement among all EU countries on the mechanism for making these payments.
According to him, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen also listened to Poland’s arguments regarding financial aid to Ukraine.
Recall that the United States intends to accept the largest aid package to Ukraine in the amount of $50 billion. And the EU will allocate 9 billion euros to Ukraine by the end of the year.
