According to the intelligence, the invaders are preparing for a quick de-occupation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the right part of the Kherson region and are preparing a series of terrorist attacks in this territory. In particular, the dam of the Kakhovka reservoir and the units of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station are under threat of destruction.
“At the same time, the blasting of the dam was planned in advance – the main mining work was carried out in April. In the current week, additional mining of the locks and supports of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station was carried out. 2 Kamaz vehicles without driver was placed in the dam of military tents. Both vehicles were filled with boxes of explosives”, the message said.
The GUR notes that the Russian Federation is deliberately preparing terrorist attacks that will lead to a catastrophe.
“If these plans are implemented, dozens of Ukrainian settlements, including Kherson, will be hit by the elements. The scale of the environmental disaster in this case will go beyond Ukraine and affect the entire Black Sea region,” added of the intelligence service.
Recall that President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian terrorists mined the dam and units of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station. If the dam breaks, hundreds of thousands of residents of southern Ukraine will be flooded, and Crimea and the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant will remain without water.
At the same time, the occupiers said that Ukraine was preparing a “strike on the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station”, announcing an emergency “evacuation” of residents.
