The purpose of the investigation is to establish by name the people involved, the means and routes of transportation of these weapons.
SBU investigators launched criminal proceedings, which should establish all those involved in the supply of Iranian drones Shahed-136 and Mohajer-6 to the Russian Federation, as well as short-range ballistic missiles Fateh -110 and Zolfaghar. This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
According to the investigation materials, there is every reason to believe that representatives of the Iranian authorities and the military-industrial complex are deliberately helping Russia in the war against Ukraine. The purpose of the investigation is to identify by name the people involved, the method and route of transportation of these weapons and further bring the perpetrators to justice.
“Whoever helped Russia take the peaceful cities and villages of Ukraine should also be held accountable for Russia’s war crimes. Because you accidentally sell a sharp knife to a madman and then be surprised that he kills people person. Therefore, the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine provide a legal assessment of such assistance to our enemy. Despite Russia’s attempts to hide the Shahed as Gerani, we will prove their origin in Iran, especially, with the help of reviews. We are working hard to expose all war criminals and punish them, ” said SBU head Vasily Malyuk.
Proceedings are open under Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (joining the aggressor state). The penalty of the article provides up to 12 years in prison.
Earlier in Russia, they let slip about the Iranian drones. Ruslan Pukhov, a member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, asked the presenters not to focus on the Iranian origin of the drones, even though everyone “knows they are Iranian.”
