On Thursday, October 20, two ships with 82,000 tons of agricultural products left Yuzhny port for Europe and Asia.
Ukraine, within the framework of the “grain initiative”, has already exported eight million tons of agricultural products through the ports of the Odessa region. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
“Since the launch of the first vessel with Ukrainian grain, 8 million tons of agricultural products have already been exported,” the report said.
It was noted that on October 20, as part of the implementation, two ships with 82,000 tons of agricultural products left the port of Yuzhny. In particular, the tanker ATLANTIS ALMERIA and the bulk carrier ARIS T left the port. Food is being shipped to Asian and European countries.
In total, 362 vessels with food for the countries of Asia, Europe and Africa left Ukrainian ports.
Recall that the agreement on grain corridors, concluded on July 22 by representatives of the UN, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine, is calculated until November 19. After that, it must be changed. Ukraine, the UN and Turkey want to extend it, while Russia, under various reasons, says the agreement can be terminated.
It was previously reported that Russia had another reason for not renewing the grain agreement. This time it was due to the UN investigation into Russia’s use of Iranian drones in the war against Ukraine.
