US President Joe Biden announced the allocation of an additional package of military aid to Ukraine totaling $ 800 million. He said this in a speech at the White House on Thursday, April 21st.
“Today, I announced another $ 800 million aid package to Ukraine to strengthen Ukraine’s ability to fight in the east, in the Donbas,” Biden said.
According to him, the new aid package includes heavy artillery, ammunition for it and tactical drones.

“Next week, I will ask Congress to make budget changes to ensure an uninterrupted supply of arms to Ukraine,” the US president added.
In addition, Biden announced the allocation of additional financial assistance to Ukraine for $ 500 million. These funds will go directly to the national budget.
“We are also showing support for the people of Ukraine. Now we are ready to provide an additional $ 500 million in direct economic assistance to the government of Ukraine. As a result, total economic assistance has reached $ 1 billion over the past two months, “he said.
