The previous day, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier postponed a visit to Ukraine scheduled for October 20 for security reasons. But Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a “substantive and productive” phone conversation with him. The head of state wrote about it in Telegram.
“Had strong and productive talks with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Thanked Germany for the first IRIS air defense system. We must immediately deploy an air shield in Ukraine! Germany will also help overcome the consequences of Russian missile terror. We are preparing the German President’s visit to Ukraine,” he wrote.
Remember, on the eve of Frank-Walter Steinmeier postponed a visit to Ukraine scheduled for October 20 for security reasons. According to the dpa agency, the German President plans to make this visit in the near future.
