An adviser to the Office of the President believes there are two possible explanations for why the Russians are leaving the Kherson region.
The evacuation of the Russian invaders from Kherson was either an attempt to save the infantry for the battles for the Donetsk region, or the withdrawal of key personnel to hold a foothold in the run-up to the decisive battle. This was told by an adviser in the Office of the President Alexei Arestovich on Feigin LIVE.
He noted that for the second day employees of Russian law enforcement agencies and representatives of “local authorities” fled to the Kherson region.
“They are really evacuating. On the other hand, more troops are being moved there than there, mostly “mobile”, but motorized rifle units have also been moved. They even tried to counter-attack, nothing happened,” said the advisor.
According to him, there is a possibility that the Russians decided to leave Kherson in order to save the last combat-ready infantry and use it to capture the Donetsk region.
“Another option is that with this evacuation they want to withdraw key personnel and key organizations from our strikes, and they intend to keep the bridge to further crush our ability to attack… They are trying to go in a local counter-offensive and so on. . We are now fighting on the front lines to hold territories, but so far we are not advancing anywhere,” explained Arestovich.
As previously reported, the adviser to the head of the Office of the President, Mikhail Podolyak, also commented on the evacuation of the invaders. According to him, the Russian invaders fled Kherson less than a month after the announcement of the annexation of the Ukrainian region.
