Germany was supposed to transfer weapons to allies in exchange for helping Ukraine in the war with the Russian Federation.
Poland and Germany disagree on the supply of German tanks instead of those transferred to Ukraine. This was said by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Poland Marcin Ocepa, writes Gazeta pl.
“The proposal from Germany, which we received, did not satisfy us,” he said.
It was noted that within the framework of the government exchange program, Germany should transfer weapons to allies in exchange for military assistance to Ukraine. But Warsaw still did not receive the German Leopard tanks.
Earlier, Polish President Andrzej Duda said that the German government had not fulfilled its promise to provide Poland Leopard tanks to replace the ones it handed over to Ukraine.
Recall that Poland sent more than 200 T-72 tanks to Ukraine. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received a PT-91 Twardy tank from Poland.
