Mobilization could be announced in Moldova if the conflict in Ukraine reaches the borders of the countries. This was announced on Tuesday, October 18, in an interview with the TVR Moldova TV channel by the Minister of Defense of the Republic, Anatoly Nosatii, Unimedia reports.
He emphasized that for now Moldova will not move to such a scenario.
“To move to such a scenario, there must be some radical changes, especially on the front in Ukraine. And this means that the conflict will be very close to the borders of the Republic of Moldova,” he said.
The minister added that the Moldovan authorities could make such a decision even with an increase in the flow of refugees from Ukraine.
Earlier, Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that in the event of a threat to Moldova’s sovereignty from the Russian Federation, Chisinau will take protective measures.
Recall that Russian missiles flew into the airspace of Moldova.
